Revenue Assurance Methodology
How Haywood Revenue Assurance separates deterministic findings, model-assisted explanation, record evidence, and sandbox validation.
How does Haywood Revenue Assurance establish a finding?
A deterministic control compares approved expectations with allowlisted configuration or record evidence. The control records the observed state and affected scope. A reviewer validates the evidence, and any model-generated explanation remains secondary to the rule result.
This separation keeps the model from becoming the system of record. It also makes every finding easier to challenge, reproduce, and retest before a remediation decision is made.
Assessment sequence
- 01
Agree on business outcomes, systems, transaction types, and access boundaries.
- 02
Define the approved expectation and evidence required for each control.
- 03
Collect only the minimum allowlisted metadata and redacted record evidence.
- 04
Run deterministic comparisons and document exceptions without automatic changes.
- 05
Review, prioritize, reproduce, remediate, and retest in a sandbox.
Evidence that makes the result reviewable
Rule
A reviewable condition with a defined purpose and expected state.
Observation
The exact metadata or redacted record state evaluated by the rule.
Impact
A bounded explanation of the business process that may be affected.
Validation
Sandbox steps and results used to confirm or reject the remediation.
Sample boundary: public examples are illustrative and do not represent a customer result, connected Salesforce organization, or production outcome.
Practical remediation path
- Treat every model explanation as supporting language, not proof.
- Require an owner to approve the expected state and remediation path.
- Preserve before-and-after evidence with the associated release record.
Questions teams ask during review
Does the model create audit findings?
No. Deterministic rules establish findings. The model can explain only the allowlisted evidence supplied to it.
Why use a sandbox first?
Revenue configuration can have broad downstream effects. Sandbox validation limits risk and produces evidence before any production decision.
Is every flagged difference an error?
No. A difference becomes an actionable finding only after it is compared with approved intent and reviewed in context.
